The Faculty of Physics at TU Wien is looking for a motivated student employee (all genders) to support the activities of the female physicists network fem*PHYS for 10 hours/week. The position is limited to 1 year, with the possibility of extension, but not beyond the completion of a master's or diploma degree.
About fem*PHYS
The fem*PHYS network is an initiative that aims to promote gender equality, visibility, and collaboration among women and non-binary individuals in the Faculty of Physics. It provides a platform for mutual support, mentoring, and professional development to foster an inclusive and dynamic academic environment.
Our goals include:
- Promoting networking among women at all career stages in physics
- Supporting career development through mentoring and training opportunities
- Enhancing the visibility and recognition of women’s contributions to research, teaching, and leadership
- Building peer and mentoring networks to strengthen support throughout academic and scientific careers
- Providing a platform for dialogue and advocacy for equality and systemic chang
Tasks:
As a student assistant, you will support the network with organizational, communication, and development tasks, including:
- Organization of network activities (networking lunches, workshops, annual event)
- Promoting fem*PHYS within the Physics Faculty (including website administration)
- Developing and implementing goals and strategies together with core members
- Cooperating with other faculties and the central administration
Your profile:
- Enrolment as a student at TU Wien (preferably in Physics or related fields)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Experience with event organization, web content, or mentoring is a plus

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade C of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 674.80/month gross, 14 times/year for 10 hours/week.
