At the Service Unit Center for Research Data Management at TU Wien, we are looking for two Student Employees (all genders)  to support the development and operation of systems and services for research data management at TU Wien. We work with the latest technologies, use and contribute to open-source software, and maintain a modern codebase without legacy systems. These positions are part of the project “Shared RDM Services and Infrastructure”, funded by the BMFWF, and are therefore limited to the project duration. Expected start date: April 2026. Contract duration: until expacted June 30th, 2026.

Tasks:

  • You support the development of systems supporting researchers in data management planning together with the Center for Research Data Management
  • You support the integration of your solutions with other systems to ensure their smooth operation

Your profile:

  • Enrolled in a relevant bachelor's program in the field of Informatics, Software Engineering, or similar); no completed master's or diploma program
  • You have experience with DAMAP software, in software development with Java and skills in Linux administration, Docker, GIT, Gitlab CI and with web technologies: Angular, HTML, CSS, REST
  • You enjoy working and contributing to Open Source projects
  • Good command of English is required, willingness to learn German is expected, in case German is not your mother tongue

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade C of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 1,379.60/month gross, 14 times/year for 20 hours/week.
