University Assistant Post-Doc (all genders)

40 hours/week | limited to 3 years

At the Institute of Logic and Computation, in the Research Unit of Databases and Artificial Intelligence (192-02) TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant post-doc (all genders) limited to expected 3 years for 40 hours/week. Expected start: January 2026.

Tasks:

  • Work on the development and implementation of the AI4all project across Bachelor’s, Master’s, and extension programmes at TU Wien
  • Work on the design, implementation, and scaling of a blended‑learning module on foundational AI and data‑management concepts within the project
  • Independent teaching or participation in teaching and supervision of students
  • The ability to develop methods, concepts, as well as their realization and evaluation and the willingness to contribute in interdisciplinary projects
  • Research activities in the relevant field
  • Participation in organizational and administrative tasks of the research division and the faculty

Your profile:

  • Completion of an appropriate doctorate
  • In-depth knowledge of the subject area
  • Teaching experience in areas covered by the AI4all module (AI and Data Management)
  • A strong interest and enthusiasm for teaching and engaging with students
  • Publications in recognized journals and conferences
  • Experience in national and international research cooperation as well as in project management and presentations
  • Interdisciplinary work
  • Organizational and analytical skills as well as a structured way of working
  • Teamwork skills, communication skills, and problem‑solving competence
  • Excellent command of English; knowledge of German is an advantage
  • Enthusiasm, sense of responsibility, capacity for reflection, willingness to learn, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in diverse environments

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 4,932.90/month gross, 14 times/year for 40 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
