At the Institute of Chemical, Environmental and Bioscience Engineering, in the Research Group for Sustainable Use of Natural Resources in the field of research: Efficient catalytic transformation of renewable resources into chemicals under supervision of Assistant Prof. Dr. Irina Delidovich TU Wien is offeing a position as university assistant prae-doc (all genders). The position is limited to expected 4 years for 30 hours/week. Expected start: October 2026.
Tasks:
- Collaboration on research and teaching tasks as well as examinations
- Supervision of students
- Research and project activity: Synthesis and characterization of catalysts; performance of catalytic and mechanistic studies
- Improvement and maintenance of experimental setups
- Writing a dissertation and publications
- Participation in scientific events
- Assistance/Collaboration in organizational and administrative tasks
- Contribution to the activities of the research group
Your profile:
- Completed diploma or master’s degree in one of the following fields: chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related discipline
- Careful and responsible working style in an experimental setting
- Laboratory experience in catalysis, chemo-catalytic biomass conversion, analytical methods such as HPLC or NMR, as well as synthesis, is an advantage
- Strong ability to work in a team and enthusiasm for collaborating in an international research group
- Structured, reliable, and independent working style, as well as willingness to familiarize oneself with new topics and methods
- Interest in teaching activities
- Good command of English and German (at least B2 level)

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 2,832.10/month gross, 14 times/year for 30 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
